A unique strain of perennial Lupins with exceptionally bold spikes of blooms, showing a wide range of colours which includes many unusual shades of pure yellow, orange and bright crimson, as well as attractive bicolour. An old favourite, Russell Mix has been tried and tested and will always perform, giving plenty of colour on glorious flower spikes. Awarded Gold Medal, R.H.S. 1937. Height 90cm (3′). Growing Information

Sow March-June under glass or outdoors for flowers May-July the following year.

Sowing Information

Sow thinly in pots or trays in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse in quality, finely sieved, moist compost at approx. 15°C (60°F), 6.5mm (1?4″) deep. Germination 15-60 days. Transplant resulting seedlings spacing them out 5cm (2″) apart in trays and grow on. Plant out 45cm (18″) apart. Alternatively, sow thinly direct into finely raked, moist, warm, weed free soil, 6.5mm (1?4″) deep. Thin seedlings by degrees to a final spacing of 45cm (18″). Soaking seed overnight in water may improve germination.
