Drinking directly from a flask containing hot drinks can be dangerous so it is a good idea to remove the lid and allow your drink to cool slightly before you enjoy it. You can also add a dash of cold water to ensure that it is kept at drinking temperature rather than risking burning your mouth. Always check the temperature before giving hot drinks or soups in flasks to children, and take care to wash your flasks and bottles out well to avoid the build-up of bacteria inside them.
